A Tesla has detected mysterious human figures in a graveyard during an eerie late-night encounter.

A man, who wasn’t named, was driving through a graveyard in Burrillville, Rhode Island– about 37 minutes northwest of Providence – when figures began to appear on the car’s control screen.

Accompanied by his fiancé and brother, the trio can be heard screaming in fear as the figures multiply on the screen.

“[I can] confirm this is not an Easter egg Elon added as I’ve tried this many times,” the man, a Tesla employee, said.

“It’s not just picking up the gravestones as even if it was they would show as stationary on the screen.”

The appearances of the figures were reported when the group of people were driving by the home that inspired the events of the horror film The Conjuring.

The film is based on the tale of the Perron family, who lived in Rhode Island during the ’70s and received help from paranormal experts Ed and Lorraine Warren.

The family was haunted by various spirits, including one that’s suspected to be Bathsheba Sherman, a rumored witch that lived in the home for years.

The family reported all manner of strange incidents from within the house, including objects disappearing and beds shaking.

The Tesla’s screen glitch isn’t the first instance of figures appearing on the console’s screen when people are driving by graveyards.

In 2022, a driver shared on TikTok a view of Tesla’s console screen, which showed some human figures standing by the car.

As he was driving by a cemetery, figures in the console screen flickered in and out of view.

These sightings have been appearing on the vehicles’ Tesla Vision, a feature that detects possible hazards to the car in the form of vehicles, people, objects, and more.

It’s a feature that’s enabled by various cameras that are located on the outside of the vehicle.

The feature is connected to the system’s autopilot, meaning that the car can automatically slow down when faced with these obstacles.

Tesla has been reached out for comment.
